Your Career
As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer, you will be a key technical expert for our AIOps and Next-Generation Firewall solutions, providing detailed information to partners, customers, and internal teams. You will work with cutting-edge technology, performing competitive and technical gap analysis to support product management in defining next-generation innovations. This critical, customer-facing role has a significant impact on our product strategy and market success by developing and executing our outbound technical communication plan.
Your Impact
+ Develop, execute, and continuously refine the technical marketing plan for AIOps and Next-Gen Firewall products.
+ Create and deliver effective technical assets, including whitepapers, demos, videos, and training for sales, customers, and partners.
+ Lead competitive research and testing to identify and articulate key product advantages, delivering these insights to field and partner teams.
+ Serve as a primary technical evangelist by presenting at seminars, conferences, and customer briefings to promote Palo Alto Networks' vision and technology.
+ Proactively collaborate with engineering and product management to identify product gaps based on competitive analysis and drive enhancements.
+ Set up, automate, and maintain a competitive test lab to evaluate product strengths for security efficacy and feature parity.
+ Work with marketing to develop compelling competitive collateral, including battle cards, presentations, and white papers.
+ Document complex technical concepts to ensure our products are well understood and utilized to their fullest potential by customers and partners.
Your Experience
+ 3+ years of experience in a technical marketing, DevOps, or solution architect role within the network or cybersecurity industry.
+ Deep understanding of network and application security threats, attack techniques, and mitigation options.
+ Demonstrable experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
+ Experience with scripting languages such as Python, CFT, or Terraform.
+ Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware) and container security.
+ Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning and attack tools like Metasploit or Burpsuite.
+ Experience with automation tools and building operational dashboards.
+ Thorough understanding of general networking principles and hands-on experience configuring routers and switches.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in public speaking, presentations, and trade shows.

Product Management or PDM - To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest-growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks and the products and services that proactively address them. Our Product Management team helps us do just that. This team provides the behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our Systems Engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in and helping to implement technical solutions based on our clients' feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $0 - $0/YR.
