    FlexStaff is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our client's team, a leading manufacturer of optics technology for the defense, aerospace and commercial industries.

     

    This is a full-time, direct hire position, located onsite in Suffolk County, NY.

     

    This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to create custom optical components used in vital sectors including commercial, defense, and space applications.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, inspect, and maintain CNC machines

    + Decode complex blueprints and technical specifications

    + Keep meticulous logs of production processes and troubleshoot issues

    + Collaborate with the team to streamline operations and enhance efficiency

    + Create a clean and organized workspace that contributes to safety and success

    Requirements

    + High School Diploma or equivalent experience

    + CNC certification or completion of a CNC Trade School is highly desired.

    + CNC programming (1-2-year min experience)

    + Ability to lift 20-40 pounds

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

    The salary range for this position is $55000-$65000/year
