Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Tax Manager to oversee consolidated quarterly, annual, and periodic tax reporting under US GAAP and IFRS. This role requires ongoing evaluation of tax law changes across relevant jurisdictions and assessing their impact on financial reporting.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare consolidated tax schedules, disclosures, and analysis in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
+ Evaluate uncertain tax positions and ensure accurate reporting.
+ Review tax provisions prepared by internal teams or external advisors.
+ Coordinate with local teams on tax filings and reporting requirements.
+ Work with head office and affiliates to support tax compliance and reporting.
+ Maintain tax controls, documentation, and liaise with auditors.
+ Ensure tax accounting policies are up to date.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA preferred.
+ 4–6 years of experience in tax accounting, ideally within insurance or reinsurance.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards (ASC 740, IAS 7).
+ Expertise in BEPS Pillar 2 and US business tax law.
+ Experience with tax-efficient structuring for global insurance operations.
+ Proven ability to prepare tax provisions and maintain SOX 404 controls.
+ Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
+ Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or CPA are advantageous.
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: three days in-office and two days remote.

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $112000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
