Job Title: Cash Application SpecialistJob Description
The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for applying receivables to the Cash Receipts Log, QuickBooks, and Finance Trackers across all business lines. This role involves identifying missed revenue opportunities by reconciling payment details with financial tracking rates, determining discrepancies, and communicating these to the accounting department. The specialist must ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and standard business practices related to cash application and the Business Service Center, including adherence to internal control procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Apply receivables to the Cash Receipts Log, QuickBooks, and Finance Trackers.
+ Identify and communicate missed revenue opportunities by reconciling payment details with financial tracking rates.
+ Ensure compliance with all cash application policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
+ Maintain thorough documentation, including notes on deductions for others to reference.
+ Collaborate with team members and offer assistance as needed without managerial direction.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in cash application, lockbox, and invoicing.
+ Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
+ Proficiency in Excel.
+ Excellent communication skills, with a preference for telephone communication.
+ Punctuality and excellent attendance.
+ Ability to self-manage work hours based on workload.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 5 years of relevant experience.
+ Experience in collections, accounts receivable, reconciliation, credit analysis, and vendor communication.
+ Knowledge of chargebacks, aging reports, and accounting.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-office position with hours of operation from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is based on a brand-new $18M campus featuring a new Employee Center equipped with a gym and an on-site medical clinic. The campus offers a beautiful work setting with great benefits. Candidates located nearby are preferred for ease of commute.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mckinney, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
