    Aston Carter is working with a great client of ours in the Overland Park area who is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to their team. The role is a newly created position as they are looking to expand their accounting and finance team. The company offers competitive pay, 18 days of PTO, 6% 401k match, 10 paid holidays, hybrid schedule and much more!     Job Description

    As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will enhance profitability and drive consistency within the accounts payable department. Through your daily activities, you will manage accurate and timely accounts payable processes, including handling purchase orders and invoices. Effective communication is crucial as you will engage in cross-functional collaborative activities.

    Responsibilities

    + Partner with the financial team to code and enter approximately 900 vendor invoices.

    + Handle accounts payable issues related to vendor communications regarding payments and invoice history.

    + Understand the purchase order systems and their relationship to accounts payable.

    + Investigate open purchase orders and follow up as needed.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 2+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience

    + Associate's degree preferred

    + Experience working with ERP systems

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
