• Telecom Program Manager

    TEKsystems (Fishersville, VA)


    Overview

    A leading turnkey general contractor supporting OSP and ISP construction across the East Coast is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role will focus on both commercial (Metro E and SMB) and residential (MDU and SDU) builds, with a 60/40 split between aerial and underground construction in the Fisherville, VA region.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide strategic oversight for Cable TV expansion projects for major clients.

    + Lead a team of Construction Coordinators and Managers responsible for daily operations and crew supervision.

    + Act as the primary client-facing representative, driving process improvements, vendor management, and internal/external communications.

    + Manage all general operations for the region, including:

    + P&L accountability

    + High-level fleet management

    + Workforce development

    + Presentations to senior leadership

    + Oversee turnkey project execution from planning through closeout, including:

    + Site surveys and walks

    + BOM creation and validation

    + Line item approvals

    + Timeline development and tracking

    + Construction coordination (fiber and directional drilling preferred)

    + Quality control and as-built validation

    + Budget oversight and cost control

    Required Experience & Skills

    + 5+ years of OSP telecommunications project management experience, including aerial and underground construction (experience in utilities or general construction also considered).

    + Strong understanding of OSP construction workflows and operations management.

    + Proven ability to manage internal and external teams, vendors, budgets, timelines, and quality assurance for turnkey projects.

    + Excellent communication, professionalism, and client-facing skills.

    Additional Qualifications

    + Experience with design, permitting, and construction processes (in-house permitting team support available).

    + Proficiency in Excel for project tracking and reporting.

    + Ability to assess project scopes, define deliverables, and manage bill of materials.

    + Skilled in converting digital plans to as-builts.

    + Strong initiative and decision-making skills, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.

    + Collaborative mindset with a focus on vendor performance and team coordination.

    + On-call availability to support outage mitigation and ensure timely crew response.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Fishersville, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

     

    DP, very stable and provides a take home company vehicle, 2 weeks PTO, 1 week sick pay, 401K 100% vested after 1 year, health, dental, vision, etc.
