• Cable Technician (Entry-Mid Level)

    Hiring Cable Technicians (Level 1 & Level 2) — $20–$25/hr | Austin, TX6‑Month Contract → Opportunity to Convert to Permanent!

     

    Join a growing team supporting major commercial projects across the Austin area! We're hiring motivated Cable Technicians at both entry and mid-level who want hands-on experience with structured cabling, network infrastructure, and large‑scale build-outs.

    Roles AvailableLevel 1 Technicians

    + 0–1 years of experience

    + $20–$21/hr depending on experience

    + Great for entry-level candidates wanting to break into structured cabling

    Level 2 Technicians

    + 1+ years of cabling experience

    + $22–$25/hr depending on experience

    + Ideal for techs who can work more independently and handle advanced tasks

    What You'll Be Doing

    + Pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6 and fiber

    + Installing cabling infrastructure: racks, cabinets, pathways, server room hardware

    + Reviewing job documentation (floor plans, elevations, cable schedules)

    + Supporting large commercial construction sites

    + Using power tools and working in various physical positions (standing, climbing, kneeling, etc.)

    + Lifting up to 50 lbs and working indoors/outdoors as needed

     

    Required Tools & Gear

    PPE Required:

    + Hard hat with chin strap

    + Safety glasses

    + Steel-toe boots

    + Safety vest

    Level 2 Techs Must Also Have:

    Tool pouch, punchdown tool, snips, screwdriver set, level, measuring tape, pliers, and similar low-voltage hand tools.

    Requirements

    + Reliable transportation

    + Must pass a driving background check

    + Positive attitude & strong communication skills

    + Ability to work safely on active construction sites

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
