    Feeder Packer

    Safety

    Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times. Hold employees accountable for working within established rules and for proactively identifying and eliminating hazards. Immediately report all near misses, incidents, first aid cases, and unsafe working conditions to the Plant Manager and Safety Manager without exception. Model and reinforce safe work practices within the assigned area. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and plant safety standards. Maintain responsibility for the safety and well-being of self and assigned employees.

    Production

    Verify job information prior to production runs. Inspect product for print quality, cutting accuracy, and overall workmanship. Feed cartons into production machinery in accordance with operating procedures. Restart machinery as needed to maintain production flow. Perform basic machine operation and maintenance with working knowledge of the Leary System. Execute basic palletizing and packing procedures. Assist operators with packing station setup, including tape machines and ink jet printers. Support operators during make-ready and changeover activities. Assist with locating corrugated cases when required. Perform rework duties as needed. Ensure product safety and quality standards are met and report any issues to Senior Management or the Quality Manager.

     

    Maintenance

     

    Assist with basic machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.

    Housekeeping

    Assist with housekeeping of production machinery. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas within assigned responsibility.

    Machinery

    Assist operators and operator trainees with preventative maintenance. Support troubleshooting and resolution of machinery issues.

     

    Additional Responsibility

     

    Serve as backup to the Production Department Manager as required.
