Job Title – Cybersecurity Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Design comprehensive security architectures that integrate Azure Firewall AWS Firewall Manager Google Firewalls and Cisco Firewall solutions to protect the company’s digital assets.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security needs and develop tailored solutions that address specific vulnerabilities and threats.

• Implement security protocols and policies that align with industry standards and best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.

• Monitor and analyze security systems to identify potential risks and respond to incidents promptly to minimize impact.

• Provide expert guidance on firewall configurations and optimizations to enhance system performance and security.

• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures and recommend improvements.

• Develop and maintain documentation for security architectures and processes to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.

• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies to proactively address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into existing infrastructure and operations.

• Support the company’s mission by ensuring that security measures contribute to a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.

• Utilize domain knowledge in Payer to tailor security solutions that meet specific industry requirements.

What you need to have to be considered

• Hands on experience with Wiz and Tanium or similar cloud security/compliance analytics platforms.

• Strong understanding of File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) concepts, tools, and operational a.

• Proficiency in ServiceNow reporting, including building custom reports, dashboards, and scheduled report distributions.

• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and common security controls.

• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800 53, CIS Benchmarks.

• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.

• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to nontechnical stakeholders.

**Salary and Other Compensation** :

Applications will be accepted until January 30 th , 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $103,000 - $108,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
