    Job Description

    The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring payroll tax compliance and reconciliations in Canada, as well as providing tax support for the United States. You will play a vital role in delivering accurate statutory reporting, timely remittance submissions, and resolving payroll tax issues, while also supporting payroll processing as needed. You will have hands on exposure to cross-border payroll operations, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and participation in audits and compliance initiatives.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Manage Payroll tax processes across monthly, quarterly and year end -cycles.

    + Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll taxes for federal, provincial and local as needed.

    + Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, penalties and agency notices.

    + Verify data for accuracy to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures.

    + Monitor legislative change and assess payroll tax impacts.

    + You will provide guidance to the payroll processor regarding payroll runs.

    + Prepare vacation liability reports for Canada sites.

    + Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

    + Coordinate vacation payouts.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + HS Diploma

    + Minimum of two years Payroll tax experience

    + Strong Knowledge of Canadian and US payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements

    + PCP or PLP certification

    + Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills

    + Proficiency in auditing techniques and advanced payroll compliance knowledge

    + Advanced Excel skills

    + Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

    Preferred:

    + SAP experience
