Behavioral Classroom Aide

Pay Range: $18–21/hr Location: Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley, El Monte, Monrovia, and more! Hours: Full-time and Part-time Pay: Weekly

If you’re motivated by helping students overcome challenges and build meaningful skills, this role places you at the heart of that impact. As a Behavioral Classroom Aide, you’ll partner with special education teams to support students who benefit from behavioral, instructional, and personal-care assistance. Your work helps create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment where every student has the opportunity to grow.

What You’ll Do

+ Support behavior-focused learning by implementing teacher-designed activities, reinforcement systems, visual supports, small-group instruction, and structured routines.

+ Observe and communicate key behavioral and academic information to teachers and support staff.

+ Engage with students throughout the school day, including recess, lunch, transitions, and community-based learning activities.

+ Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information and classroom operations.

+ Carry out behavior intervention strategies under the direction of teachers, BCBAs, psychologists, and other specialists.

+ Assist with therapeutic programs developed by PT, OT, SLP, or behavioral professionals.

+ Promote student independence through self-care routines such as toileting, hygiene, dressing, and feeding when needed.

+ Support classroom operations by preparing materials, organizing supplies, creating stimuli, making copies, and assisting with basic clerical tasks.

What You’ll Bring

+ Commitment to professional standards and completion of required competency programs

+ Current CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate (as applicable)

+ Ability to meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Successful completion of new-hire and site-specific training

+ Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines

+ Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
