    School-Based ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician (2026–2027 School Year)

     

    Amergis Staffing is seeking a School-Based ABA Therapist/Behavior Technician for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This role involves supporting students with special needs in a school environment and implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).     Pay: $20–25/hrLocation: Pasadena and South PasadenaSchedules: Full-Time & Part-Time (Monday–Friday)Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Follow the guidance of the BCBA, program supervisor, and classroom teacher

    + Provide direct behavioral support and intervention to assigned students

    + Implement ABA-based teaching strategies within the school setting

    + Support the implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)

    + Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies

    + Implement behavioral goals outlined in students’ IEPs

    + Accurately document daily sessions according to school and agency procedures

    + Collect and record data consistently and efficiently

    + Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information

    + Support students in building independence with self-care skills (e.g., toileting, dressing, personal hygiene)

    + Assist with classroom behavior management techniques as directed by supervising staff

    + Reinforce appropriate student behaviors according to behavioral plans

    + Provide supervision during behavioral interventions when required

    + Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary within the school environment

    Minimum Requirements

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Registered or Certified Behavior Technician (if required by state/client)

    + Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred

    + Current CPR certification

    + Current PPD test or Chest X-ray (as required)

    + Strong communication skills for interacting with supervisors, school staff, and students

    + Computer proficiency for data entry and documentation
