Job Summary
The Neurobehavioral Dynamics lab is looking for an **Student Research Assistant** interested in computational approaches, including artificial intelligence and mathematical modeling, to study behaviors affecting individuals with disabilities such as behavioral relapse and self-injurious behavior.
This position does not require a background in psychology, and is particularly suited for students in mathematics, computer science, physics, statistics, and engineering majors. The Primary Investigator as well as graduate students will guide you through relevant psychological literature.
Students will gain experience with research methodology, employing mathematical and software engineering/programming to real-world problems, computational methods, digital signal processing, and literature reviews, providing opportunities to earn authorship on scientific publications as well as make contributions to open-source projects.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Enrolled Auburn University student
+ Experience with Python
+ Experience with JavaScript
+ Completion ofSTAT 1010 or equivalent with a grade of ‘B’ or higher
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with R
+ Experience with digital signal processing
+ Previous research experience
+ Completion ofSTAT courses at the 2000 level or higher or equivalent
Pay Rate
$15.00/hour
