    Overview

    THE ROLE:

    Ensure the successful delivery of mobile application projects by providing expert project management that drives on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes. This role exists to bring niche mobile project expertise to engagements. It involves navigating challenges such as platform fragmentation, app store compliance, and rapid technological evolution. The Mobile Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages collaborator expectations, and ensures mobile initiatives deliver measurable business value.

    HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

    • Lead end-to-end project management for mobile application development projects from inception through launch and optimization

    • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with collaborators

    • Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, prioritisation, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies

    • Manage mobile-specific project considerations, including platform versioning, device fragmentation, and app store requirements

    • Coordinate cross-functional teams including mobile developers, UX designers, backend engineers, QA, and business collaborators

    • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and demos for mobile teams

    • Track project progress against achievements and critical metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues and blockers

    • Manage project risks and dependencies, developing contingency plans for mobile-specific challenges

    • Lead all aspects of quality assurance processes, including device testing, platform compatibility, and performance validation

    • Coordinate app store submission processes for iOS App Store and Google Play Store including compliance and review management

    • Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership and executive collaborators

    • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships

    • Navigate mobile platform updates and technology changes, adjusting project plans as needed

    • Lead change management activities to ensure successful adoption of mobile solutions

    • Make decisions on project priorities, scope changes, resource deployment, and customer concern handling

    Qualifications

    SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    • Lead end-to-end project management for mobile application development projects from inception through launch and optimization

    Skills and Background Required

    • 7+ years of progressive project management experience with significant focus on mobile application projects; experience managing multiple engagements preferred

    • Professional experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Ticketing and Management Systems, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 360 suite

    • Mobile project management and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

    • Understanding of mobile development lifecycles and device platform-specific considerations (iOS vs. Android), including their respective App Store submissions and deployments

    • Familiarity with mobile frameworks (Flutter in particular) and how they interplay with device platforms

    • Collaborator management and executive communication

    • Risk management and issue resolution

    • Budget management and resource planning

    • Proven track record of successfully delivering mobile application projects on time and within budget

    • Deep understanding of mobile development processes, challenges, and standard methodologies

    • Experience managing cross-functional teams in agile environments

    • Strong interpersonal and time management skills managing multiple concurrent projects

    • Excellent communication skills, translating technical concepts for business audiences

    • Knowledge of mobile technologies and development frameworks (not required to code)

    • Experience and understanding of AI and other Automation solutions and workflows (Power Automate, N8N, Shopify Workflows, etc)

    • Experience with app store submission and approval processes

    • Understanding of mobile analytics, testing, and performance monitoring

    • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD and DevOps practices

    • Change management and interpersonal transformation experience

    • Product management experience for mobile applications

    Education:

    • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field

    • Preferred: MBA, Master's in Project Management, or related degree; consulting or agency background managing complex mobile projects

    • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or similar certifications highly valuable

    • Equivalent Experience: 10+ years of exceptional mobile project management experience with demonstrated track record of successful complex project delivery may substitute for advanced degree
