Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Knowledge of purchase orders, packing lists, and written instructions, including their description and definition; standard warehouse processes and procedures, with experience moving, loading and unloading, heavy lifting type of work like that of working in a warehouse or for a moving company or for a transportation/ freight company.
+ Work independently and as part of a team
+ Understand written job instructions
+ Complete request forms, telephone messages, and notes
+ Be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
+ Be able to bend, stoop, twist, and squat in order to pick up, move and deliver freight, furniture and equipment.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills. Communicating with a variety of people.
+ Computer experience with MS word products including Excel.
+ Valid Driver’s License minimum of a Class C.
Preferred Qualifications
+ 4 plus years of experience working in a warehouse type environment or for a moving company or for a transporting / freight company.
+ Current Forklift Certification License or 4 years forklift driving experience.
+ Computer experience using SAP and Jaggaer.
Job Description
+ Oversee the tasks of employees handling the receipt, storage, and delivery of various materials ordered by the University.
+ Driving university vans/freight trucks.
+ Receive and deliver freight for departments across campus.
+ Check in packages, process receiving data into SAP goods receipt system.
+ Keep monthly vehicle logs.
+ Delivery of small and large freight in vn/freight trucks.
+ Load and unload vehicles.
+ Read, printed materials on packages slips, purchase orders and delivery forms.
+ Will work indoors and outdoors.
+ Will work in extreme weather conditions.
+ Will work with public.
+ Will work as a team member or independently.
+ Will need to be able to work extended hours and on weekends when needed.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.
Job Duties
+ Unload, load, check-in deliver freight.
+ Data entry of documentation into SAP system.
+ Use computer software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and SAP .
+ Operate and maintain university vehicles, forklift, electric pallet jacks and hand trucks.
+ Assist with set ups for Special Events, departmental moves, deliver and pick up of surplus furniture.
+ Maintain warehouse and grounds.
+ Answer phone calls from staff or vendors. as well as make calls to staff and vendors.
+ Work extended hours on weekends when needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
