About the Role:
The Bellperson/Valet Attendant plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and efficient service from the moment guests arrive until their departure. This position is responsible for managing guest luggage with care, assisting with transportation needs, and ensuring vehicles are parked and retrieved promptly and safely. The role requires a proactive approach to guest interaction, anticipating needs and offering assistance that enhances overall satisfaction. Working closely with the front desk and other hotel departments, the Bellperson/Valet Attendant helps maintain smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the hotel's reputation for outstanding hospitality and guest service excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
+ Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage safely.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
+ Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and parking procedures.
+ Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably as a bellperson or valet attendant.
+ Familiarity with the local area and traffic patterns in Honolulu, HI.
+ Certification in customer service or hospitality training programs.
+ Experience with valet management software or related technology.
+ Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission.
Responsibilities:
+ Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, providing a friendly and professional first and last impression.
+ Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring all items are handled with care and stored securely.
+ Operate valet parking services by safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a timely manner.
+ Coordinate with the front desk to manage guest requests and transportation arrangements efficiently.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the valet area and luggage storage to uphold safety and presentation standards.
