Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Provide responsive, accurate, and friendly customer service for personal lines clients

• Handle incoming calls, walk ins, and general front office duties

• Listen for sales opportunities and route or handle accordingly

• Manage policy changes, endorsements, certificates, billing questions, cancellations, and reinstatements (within license scope)

• Input and update customer data across systems and carrier platforms

• Maintain compliance with Washington State insurance regulations and agency procedures

• Support a smooth customer experience across a diverse clientele

Sales Support

• Assist with quoting personal lines policies

• Learn the agency’s computer systems, rating platforms, and carrier processes

• Over time, develop capability to support or close sales opportunities

• Potential progression into field activity for generating new business

• Possibility to become licensed/listed on commercial lines accounts over time

• Participate in cross selling, upselling, and retention efforts

________________________________Compensation Range $40K - $50K

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Requirements

• Active Washington State P&C Insurance License

o Required to discuss, quote, or process any policy details

• Experience in personal lines insurance

o Understanding of key terminology, definitions, and general insurance rules

• Willingness to take the Caliper personality/job fit assessment during the process

• Ability to do sales outside of the office to bring in new clients

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport

• Professional, friendly communication style

• Ability to work independently in a small office setting

• Strong cultural fit—collaborative, steady, positive attitude

• A desire for long term employment with opportunities to grow Preferred (Not Required)

• Exposure to commercial lines insurance
