Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation (3+ Years’ Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Insurance Defense and is skilled in independently managing a litigation caseload from initial investigation through trial preparation. This role is fully remote, with the expectation of maintaining excellent communication, accountability, and case management.

Practice Areas Include:

+ Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA)

+ Premises Liability

+ Employment Discrimination

+ Workplace Harassment

+ Sexual Abuse Matters (defense-side; handled with utmost professionalism and sensitivity)

+ Catastrophic Injury

Responsibilities:

+ Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.

+ Prepare pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda.

+ Develop case strategies and provide clients with clear, concise updates and guidance.

+ Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

+ Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.

+ Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters while maintaining autonomy on assigned cases.

+ Meet an annual billable requirement of 1850 hours.

Qualifications:

+ J.D. from an accredited law school.

+ Active membership in the Washington State Bar (or ability to become admitted promptly).

+ Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in Insurance Defense.

+ Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

+ Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high professional standards.

+ Excellent communication and client‑service skills.

+ Proven ability to manage deadlines and caseload efficiently.

Compensation & Benefits:

+ Salary: $135,000 – $165,000, DOE.

Requirements

• Possession of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar or eligibility for prompt admission.

• At least three years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for familiarity in insurance defense.

• Exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and analysis.

• Ability to work autonomously within a remote environment while maintaining high standards for attention to detail.
