Job Summary

Under indirect supervision, oversee work performed by contractors on AEP electrical facilities.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

+ Assist with job planning, safety, crew critique, or other tasks as needed.

+ Inspect and accept or reject contractor work for compliance to safety, design, construction standards, and construction quality.

+ Assure contracted construction projects flow smoothly.

+ Resolve customers' concerns associated with work performed by contractors.

+ Document construction events to protect AEP's interest from future claims.

+ Assure contractor invoices are accurate, complete, and reasonable.

+ Provide feedback concerning contractor performance to Contract Administration for use in future contracting activities.

+ Certify acceptability of contractors' work for invoice approval and payment.

+ Assume other duties as required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Education requirements are listed below: **High school diploma or GED.**

Work Experience requirement listed below: Thorough knowledge of electrical distribution work processes, procedures and safety standards. **Minimum two years experience as a Distribution System Inspector Assoc. or equivalent related experience.**

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving safety record.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Physical demand level is Sedentary .Typically second step of progression in job family or can be entry level based on previous experience/job classification.

Compensation Range:

$74,551.00 - $109,543.00

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
