Job Overview:
Seasoned individual contributor, who works independently with minimal supervision. Helps establish and implement projects, programs, and processes in support of the NYRA Bets overall Business Intelligence and Operations strategy. Applies advanced knowledge of business intelligence and operations to establish best of class policies, procedures, and plans for the area. Responsible for analyzing business intelligence data to inform business and product decisions by blending current and historical data available, public information, field reports or purchased sources as input to analyses.
Essential Functions:
+ Works independently under limited supervision to execute tasks for the Business Intelligence team, exercising a high level of decision making to effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur.
+ Develop and refine analytical models to support strategic business initiatives.
+ Conducts in-depth analysis of industry trends and competitive benchmarks to inform business strategies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
+ Assess and mitigate operational risks related to fraud, ensuring proactive measures are in place to address potential threats.
+ Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve fraud prevention measures.
+ Utilize data analytics tools to identify patterns and anomalies that may indicate fraudulent behavior.
+ Collaborate with the AML Compliance Officer to conduct periodic AML risk assessments and enhance AML monitoring processes.
+ Leads process improvement efforts to enhance data reporting efficiency and accuracy. · Advises stakeholders on the interpretation of business intelligence insights and their implications.
+ Works independently under limited supervision to execute tasks for the NYRA Bets Operations team, exercising a high level of decision making to effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur. Troubleshoots on-site issues during events and resolves or escalates problems impacting the day-to-day operations.
+ Recommends and documents improvements to operational plans, procedures, and logistics workflows.
+ Supports primary liaison for internal stakeholders during events, offering guidance and tactical support.
+ Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Risk Management, etc.).
+ Experience: 5+ Years proven experience in Operations, preferably within the online betting or gaming industry
Knowledge Required:
+ Strong understanding of fraud prevention strategies and risk management principles.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
+ Effective communication skills to interact with players and collaborate with internal teams.
+ Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the online betting industry

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The Operations and Business Intelligence Senior Associate role is primarily sedentary and performed in an office or office-like environment with no special physical demands required. The position involves extended periods of sitting with intermittent standing and walking, as well as occasional bending, reaching, and other routine movements typical of a professional workplace.
The role requires regular hand manipulation, including daily typing and repetitive hand movements while working on a computer. Occasional light lifting (generally up to 10 lbs., and infrequently up to 30 lbs.) may be required.
The work environment does not typically expose the employee to hazardous conditions. There is minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme weather, or high-risk work areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
Pay Range / Salary: $106,000-$135,000 annually
