Scientist - Analytical Testing Formula Support

Description
+ Perform analytical testing of raw materials and products using the Electronic Nose / Flash GC and transfer methods and statistical models to participating QA sites.
+ Provide technical evaluation and interpretation of analytical results.
+ Communicate findings and provide written reports for management.
+ Provide analytical support to formulating chemists and help solve critical issues related to formula innovation and production.
40%: Provide analytical support to formulation chemists, new product launches, critical issues and counterfeit inquiries.
40%: Provide expert analytical support to the Electronic Nose program including creating test methods and statistical models for raw materials and formulas. Attending E-Nose meetings and coordinate method transfers to participating QA sites.
20%: Prepare reports, distribute results and engage with management, brand labs and support teams to solve their testing needs.
10%: Develop new protocols and methods for new and existing analytical instrumentation.
Qualifications
+ BS in Chemistry or Related Field
+ 1-3 Years
+ Strong technical skills in analytical chemistry and instrumentation including the ability to research and develop new methodology and techniques.
+ Knowledge of the following analytical techniques: Gas Chromatography (GC), Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Karl Fischer and wet chemistry.
+ Proficiency in Gas Chromatography Mass Spectra (GC/MS) and data interpretation a plus.
+ Knowledge of the Electronic Nose
+ Needs to be able to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision with some decision-making ability, able to interact with chemists and management, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver them in a timely fashion.
+ Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and ICH guidelines.
+ Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive delivery of results in a timely fashion.
+ Must have excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal), including the ability to write technical reports, SOPs and Test Methods.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
