Are you a dynamic, driven, and passionate leader ready to shape the future of the A&E industry? We’re seeking a Senior business development leader who thrives on building meaningful relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and driving strategic growth. This is more than a role—it’s a chance to be a catalyst for innovation and expansion in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The Client Development Leader is responsible for developing and executing the annual strategic sales plan for their Area, aligning with Verdantas’ overall growth objectives. This role focuses on expanding client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating across departments to deliver integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead strategic business development initiatives across target markets in the A&E industry in pursuit of executing the West region strategic sales plan
+ Identify and cultivate new client relationships, partnerships, and market opportunities.
+ Collaborate with executive leadership to shape and execute growth strategies.
+ Identify and pursue new clients and diversify services with existing ones.
+ Identify and pursue high-value opportunities in water/ wastewater, government (SLED), energy/ power and transportation market sectors
+ Conduct market research to inform strategic decisions and uncover new opportunities.
+ Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
+ Identify and implement revenue synergy opportunities across newly acquired entities.
+ Collaborate with Market Sector Leads, Division and Department Leads on Go/No-Go decisions and pursuit strategies.
+ Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings with enthusiasm and professionalism.
+ Drive proposal development and lead pursuit teams for high-impact projects
+ Engage with Project Managers to ensure alignment
+ Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across business units.
+ Monitor pursuit costs and project profitability to ensure sustainable growth.
+ Leverage CRM tools (e.g., Deltek VantagePoint) to track client engagement and pipeline performance.
Qualifications
+ Energetic, optimistic, and highly motivated—someone who inspires others and brings excitement to every opportunity.
+ Proven track record (15+ years) in business development within the A&E or related professional services industry.
+ Strong network of industry contacts and demonstrated success in securing major contracts.
+ Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
+ Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and growth.
+ Strong analytical and leadership skills.
+ Experience as a Project Manager, Client Manager, or BD Leader preferred.

Salary Range:
175,000-225,000
