    We are seeking an experienced full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our Architecture and Engineering (AE) team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of projects and building types, making a significant impact in our field.

    Responsibilities

    + Possess a good working knowledge of the International Mechanical Code and Energy Conservation Code.

    + Maintain strong communication skills and work effectively within a multi-discipline project team.

    + Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with minimal oversight.

    + Exhibit excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail.

    + Troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently under pressure with a positive attitude.

    + Have working knowledge of codes and standards such as SMACNA, NEC, IBC, IMC, IECC, and ASHRAE.

    Essential Skills

    + 10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience.

    + Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Revit.

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent commercial HVAC design experience.

    + Strong knowledge of calculations, design, layout, and specification of commercial and institutional HVAC systems.

    + Experience with HVAC replacement projects and project management.

    + Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

    + Experience working on projects within higher education.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in project management.

    + Skill in plumbing design and Revit design.

    + Engineer In Training (EIT) certification.

    The position is based in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The firm is a 50+ person company experiencing growth in the MEP sector. This offers the unique opportunity to be part of the expansion in a primarily architecture-focused firm.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
