Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the timely creation, processing, and validation of CNC programs for new products, as well as the reprocessing of legacy parts. This role includes the design and implementation of fixturing, tooling, and other specialized work holding solutions to support manufacturing operations. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer provides direct support to production, ensuring processes run efficiently and issues are resolved promptly. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in CNC programming, along with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam to efficiently produce precision parts on various machines for industrialization of product.
+ Setup and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Inspect first run piece and perform in-process quality checks utilizing precision instrument tools and in-process sheets according to company procedures.
+ Collaborate with manufacturing team to optimize production processes and ensure high-quality standards are met.
+ Create and maintain documentation such as work instructions, process drawings, and other quality control documents.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programming, machine operation, and other manufacturing processes.
+ Provide guidance and training to machinists.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
+ Stay current with industry developments and trends related to machining and precision manufacturing.
+ Perform basic equipment maintenance including maintaining coolant levels and oil levels on machines.
+ Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
+ Maintain safe work environment by following company safety procedures.
Essential Skills
+ 8-10 years of experience in CNC programming and precision manufacturing on CNC machinery.
+ Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, including various workpiece material, tool selection, and toolpath optimization.
+ Mastercam and SolidWorks experience is a plus.
+ Familiarity with quality control methods, including statistical process control and Six Sigma.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Experience with New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
+ Experience with AS9100 quality management systems is a plus.
+ Knowledge and experience of: Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Six Sigma is a plus.
+ Fanuc control experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role involves hands-on work with CNC machinery, requiring precision and attention to detail. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, follow safety procedures, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Clearwater, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
