Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves rebuilding and servicing machinery and equipment in our plant, including saws, cranes, and welders. You will perform preventive maintenance, service company vehicles, and ensure all safety protocols are followed during repair and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

+ Rework and rebuild machinery and equipment to specifications and best industry practices.

+ Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to specifications and planned programs.

+ Service and maintain company vehicles.

+ Follow safety lock-out/tag-out procedures for all repairs, reworks, or maintenance.

+ Maintain the building and property as necessary.

+ Report all problems and safety concerns to the supervisor.

+ Support facility housekeeping and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies through department activities.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in basic math.

+ Ability to use hand tools, voltage meters, and measuring instruments.

+ Operate forklift and overhead cranes, capable of lifting machines up to 40 tons.

+ Effective communication skills.

+ Ability to work through problem-solving processes and present ideas.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical experience preferred.

+ Ability to read engineering drawings.

+ Valid Georgia driver’s license may be required.

+ Strong attendance record.

+ Ability to work well with others and independently.

+ Mindset of wanting to learn and grow.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a non-temperature-controlled warehouse with large fans for ventilation. Duties may require lifting up to 70 lbs, kneeling, stooping, bending, and occasional outdoor work. Workshop conditions involve noise, dust, fumes, and heat.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baxley, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
