    Job Title: Commercial Metal Stud Framer** **Job Description

     

    As a Commercial Metal Stud Framer, you will be responsible for constructing the framework of commercial and industrial buildings using metal studs. This role demands a strong understanding of blueprint reading, proficiency with hand and power tools, and strict adherence to safety protocols. You will measure, cut, and assemble wood and metal into frames using tools such as squares, levels, and hammers.

    Responsibilities

    + Construct metal stud frameworks for commercial and industrial buildings.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Measure, cut, and assemble wood and metal frames.

    + Use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and levels, with proficiency.

    + Adhere to safety protocols at all times.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in metal stud framing.

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including carpenter's squares.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + OSHA 10 certification.

    + Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in general labor, carpentry, and rough carpentry.

    + Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

    + Skills in framing, drywall hanging, metal and wood framing, acoustical ceilings, and drywall finishing.

    Work Environment

    Work will take place on commercial construction sites. While indoors, the buildings are not fully heated or cooled, resulting in cold conditions during winter and hot conditions during summer. You will work with a team of over 55 employees ranging from helpers to superintendents. Typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, subject to change based on the requirements of the general contractor at each job site.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
