    Now Hiring: Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher for the Upcoming 2026-2027 School Year

     

    Locations: Lodi & Stockton, California

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time

     

    Setting: In-Person Classroom

     

    Compensation: Competitive weekly pay ($2,500 - $4,000 weekly - varies by experience)

    About the Role:

    We’re seeking passionate and dedicated Moderate/Severe Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning, emotional, physical, and developmental needs. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, you’ll play a critical role in designing individualized programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and helping students build the skills they need for academic and life success.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    - Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and the SPED team

     

    - Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities across K–12

     

    - Design and deliver lessons that parallel the general education curriculum when appropriate

     

    - Partner with families, administrators, social workers, and related service providers to support each student’s holistic development

     

    - Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized, supportive learning environment

     

    - Serve as the primary coordinator for IEP implementation with general education staff

     

    - Monitor and document student progress; participate in IEP review meetings

     

    - Maintain accurate and timely student records in compliance with district and state requirements

     

    - Mentor and support paraprofessionals and instructional aides

     

    - Support students in building life skills, transition planning, and independence

     

    - Assess academic and functional skills and track progress over time

     

    - Communicate regularly with families and staff to maintain strong, positive relationships

     

    - Adhere to district policies, professional practice standards, and student confidentiality (including HIPAA where applicable)

    Minimum Requirements:

    -Valid Moderate/Severe (Mod/Severe) Education Specialist Credential — REQUIRED

     

    - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred)

     

    - Valid state teaching credential as required by district or contract

    - Preferred certifications:

    - Standard Elementary Teaching

     

    - Standard Secondary Teaching

     

    - Special Education Teaching Credential

     

    - Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement

     

    - Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience (preferred)

     

    - Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

     

    - CPR certification (if required)

     

    - TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable)

     

    - Current health certificate per state or contract requirements

     

    - Completion of any agency competency or onboarding programs

     

    - Strong communication skills; proficiency in English required

     

    - Basic computer proficiency

     

    - Must be at least 18 years old
