The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides counseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social or emotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Master’s degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required
+ Active license as an LCSW in state of practice required
+ Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Skills desired of the Residential Therapist
Ability to manage caseload and offer treatment methods, and procedures and policies as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the close clinical supervision of a California Board of Behavioral Sciences Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Have considerable knowledge of: the diagnosis, assessment, prognosis, and treatment for persons with serious mental illness, alcohol and drug issues, co-occurring disorders and/or youth with serious emotional disturbance; effective therapeutic techniques and modalities; psychosocial and cultural factors affecting mental health and service delivery; and administrative procedures related to the delivery of mental health services, and Medi-Cal, state and federal mental health programs descriptions, treatment benefits, application procedures, etc.
Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team; assess, treat and manage cases for an ethnically diverse population with mental illness and their families; communicate effectively in writing and orally, including public speaking; efficiently organize time and workload responsibilities; effectively utilize agency and community resources; conduct group meetings, interpret and explain laws, rules and regulations to other staff, clients, family members and the public; and help implement state, federal and County mental health programs.
