    How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

     

    This role is responsible for planning, designing, and

    implementing secure, scalable cloud-native solutions within the Operations

    environment, ensuring alignment with AWS and Delta standards. As a senior subject-matter

    expert (SME) in AWS cloud development and architecture, you will provide

    Service Assurance and Operational technical leadership, mentor engineering

    teams, and collaborate across architecture, application, infrastructure, and

    security groups to deliver resilient, compliant cloud solutions.

    Expertise in AWS AI services, intelligent

    agents, and data lake house architectures is essential. Practical experience

    with deploying cloud-native apps and managing Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS

    (ROSA) is also vital to be successful in this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Plan,design, and implement cloud-native solutions while maintaining architecturalintegrity and security controls to protect information and ensure compliancewith AWS and Delta standards.

    + Serveas a senior SME for AWS, providing guidance on best practices and architecturedecisions.

    + Providetechnical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams in cloud applicationarchitecture, development, and operational excellence.

    + Designand develop cloud-native applications, tooling, and enhancements, focusing onclean, efficient, and well-documented code across the full technology stack.

    + Produceenterprise-level architectures for AWS deployments, including AI services,cloud-native, and ROSA, collaborating closely with application, infrastructure,security, architecture, and operations teams.

    + Drivecontinuous improvement and steady-state operations for cloud servicessupporting globally distributed solutions, including enhancements tocustom-built utilities and integration with AI components.

    + Coordinateacross architecture, infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensurethe timely and successful delivery of secure, scalable solutions.

    + Define,document, and enforce security standards, procedures, and access controls toensure integrity.

    + Ownsolution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and migrations; recommend andevaluate technology options as appropriate.

    + Strategizeand provide a forward-looking perspective on emerging technologies andservices, aligning them with the organization's roadmap to ensure continualinnovation and competitive advantage.

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    + 7+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years of hands-on software development in DevOps and build-to-manage environments.

    + DemonstratedAWS cloud experience, including:

    + Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CDK,CloudFormation)

    + CI/CD tooling (e.g., Tekton, Gitlab CI)

    + AWS Cloud Development Kits (CDK)

    + AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM)

    + AWS CloudFormation

    + AI and Machine Learning services (e.g.,Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore)

    + Data lake house architectures using AWSservices (e.g., AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, AmazonGlue, Amazon S3)

    + Proven experience building highly resilient, scalable, cross-region AWS applications.

    + Strongunderstanding of web services, APIs, and microservices architectures.

    + Hands-on application developmentexperience using Java, TypeScript, and Python.

    + Experiencedeploying and supporting Red Hat OpenShift on AWS for high‑traffic, productionworkloads.

    + Strongknowledge of high‑availability, failover, anddisaster‑recoverypatterns.

    + Knowledgeof automated testing frameworks and secure coding standards.

    + Experienceworking in DevOps and build‑to‑manage operating models.

    + Proficiencywith Git-based source control systems (GitHub).

    + Experiencewith Agile development methodologies.

    + Workingknowledge of 12‑factor applicationprinciples, with the ability to coach others on best‑practice implementationpatterns.

    + Strongbackground in cloud‑nativearchitectures.

    + Abilityto clearly communicate technical concepts to engineers, business analysts, andsubject‑matter experts.

    + Demonstratedability to lead, mentor, and support junior engineers.

    + Familiaritywith Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles for authentication andauthorization.

    + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

    + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

    + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

    + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

    + AWSCertified Professional

    + Experienceintegrating source systems with agents, MCPs, and servers, including:

    + Designing and implementing data pipelines forseamless connectivity

    + Troubleshooting and optimizing integrationworkflows for reliability and performance

    + Ensuring secure data transfer and compliancewith organizational policies

    + Hands-on experience withmonitoring and observability tools, such as Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, SumoLogic, or Dynatrace.

    + Experienceor deep knowledge of ServiceNow

    + Familiaritywith identity federation protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

    + Experienceacross multiple IT domains, including application development, infrastructure,operations, and business continuity.

    + Demonstratedhistory of driving transformational or modernization initiatives.

    + Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
