The Moral Development (MD) Lab in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University- College Station is seeking a full-time Research Assistant. This position provides skilled administrative and managerial support for research activities and will assist in planning and directing specific phases of assigned projects.
The MD Lab explores how children, adolescents, young adults, and families understand issues of equality, justice, and care within family and societal contexts, with an emphasis on cross-cultural differences and similarities.

Opportunities to Contribute
+ Plans and coordinates research activities, including prioritizing tasks, assigning projects, managing data collection, and maintaining communication with partner laboratories.
+ Conducts research using standard techniques, maintains detailed records, and performs data analysis and evaluation of experimental results.
+ Provides training and fosters a respectful, collaborative environment for students and research staff.
+ Supports administrative and financial tasks, including proposal preparation, budget monitoring, reporting, and participant payment processing.
+ Maintains research equipment and ensures timely software updates for laboratory systems.
+ Recruits participants for assigned research studies.
+ Translates research-related materials as needed.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
+ Ability to work outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions, potential allergens, elevated noise levels, and heat.
+ Ability to move up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
+ Ability to move light, medium, or heavy objects with assistance.
+ Some lifting/carrying of classroom/presentation materials.
+ Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving and/or flying on commercial airlines.
A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess:
+ One year of experience conducting research in a clinical environment.
+ Bilingual in Spanish and/or Mandarin.
+ Experience with participant recruitment in a clinical environment.
+ Experience working with children.
+ Experience reviewing literature.
+ Experience coding with video data.
+ Experience with REDCap.
+ CITI Training
+ Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
+ Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
+ Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs.
+ Ability to facilitate and adapt course and the course content.
+ Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Salary: $45,000 annually
