    These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries and improve their physical, emotional, and functional well-being. Involves assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

     

    These roles are responsible for assessing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Speech therapists work with patients who have communication difficulties, cognitive-linguistic impairments, or swallowing issues due to injury, illness, or developmental conditions, helping to restore functional communication and swallowing skills.

     

    Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. ​

     

    Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and require vocational or technical education. ​ Works under limited supervision for routine situations. ​ Provides assistance and/or may lead and training to lower-level employees. ​ Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand. ​ May lead daily operation activities.​

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

     

    Experience: 6 months relevant experience.

     

    Licensure: Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, humidity, heat, blood/body fluids, infectious disease and dust.

     

    The starting base rate for this role is $70,595.20 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
