Our client, a leader in the food industry, is seeking a temporary _DEI Specialist_ to join their team. As DEI Specialist, you will be part of the Associate Experience (HR) function supporting Putting People First initiatives, Associate Resource Groups, and cross-functional business partners. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** DEI Specialist _(Temporary)_
**Location:** Buffalo, NY (Hybrid)
**Pay Range:** $28-33/hour
Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
What’s the Job?
+ Research global DEI and belonging trends to inform strategy, mitigate risk, and support compliance
+ Manage and execute associate-facing Putting People First programs and initiatives
+ Partner with HR, Associate Resource Groups, and business stakeholders to embed inclusive practices
+ Develop communications, presentations, and storytelling materials for diverse audiences
+ Track, analyze, and report on program data to measure impact and drive continuous improvement
What’s Needed?
+ 3+ years of experience supporting Human Resources, DEI/belonging, or business strategy initiatives
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
+ Experience using survey platforms, analytics tools, and reporting frameworks
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to large groups
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
