    Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be part of the Core OS Engineering department supporting the deployment and reliability of Windows media codecs. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for automation, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    Job Title:** **Software Development Engineer

     

    Pay Range:** **$58.46 - $64.33 on Experis W2 (Benefits/PTO/401k)

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Design and implement automated deployment pipelines for Windows codec packs, transforming manual processes into reliable, data-driven systems.

    + Manage phased Store rollouts with automated promotion or hold decisions based on telemetry and reliability signals.

    + Define and instrument release-health metrics using telemetry, crash data, and reliability dashboards.

    + Automatically detect anomalies, trigger notifications, and generate incident management communications for critical issues.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams, Store operations, and reliability teams to refine rollout criteria and improve feedback loops.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Experience shipping large-scale services, CI/CD systems, or reliability/SRE engineering.

    + Strong skills in telemetry, crash diagnostics, ETW/WPP, Kusto, and reliability analysis.

    + Proven ability to automate manual workflows using pipelines, scripts, and policy-driven systems.

    + Experience with automated gating, alerting systems, and incident workflows such as ICM.

    + Excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills.
