**Pay Range:** $50.68 - $75.51 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
The Manager of Clinical Research Analytics leads a team that is responsible for the integrative analysis of clinical data to serve the research objectives of a large clinical and academic institution. Manages the Clinical Research Analytics team in its efforts to develop new tools to analyze and query clinical data. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of IS/ Research experience.
• Experience with Programming in Python and/or R.
• Experience with HL7, JSON.
• Experience with OMOP.
• Experience with vocabularies such as SNOMED and RXNORM.
• Experience with EMR integration of clinical genomics.
• Experience with Cloud computing environments such as AWS or Azure.
• At least one year of leadership responsibility.
• Broad knowledge of the field with proven leadership skills.
• Technical, analytical, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Leadership skills including knowing how to lead a technical team including developers, analyst, and support resources.

• Develops the strategy for the business and data requirements from clinical faculty and principal investigators.
• Collaborates with researchers to design studies and to identify study cohorts based on knowledge of available data sources.
• Collaborates with clinical experts and Information Technology to determine feasibility, timelines, and costs of data requests.
• Responsible for analytics projects that leverage data obtained from electronic medical records to measure and predict patient outcomes.
• Develops and documents best practices for collecting requirements and providing solutions.

• Maintains peer relationships and collaborative knowledge exchange with IT counterparts.
•
• Works with Project Managers (PM) or Business Analyst (BA) to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks.
• Manages team projects and supports deliverables by developing project plans that maintain high level of staff utilization on projects in order to meet project expectations.
• Provides direction and instructions to team members on prioritization of activities.
• Keeps track of project details addressing issues affecting project timeline.
• Maintains frequent communication with staff to understand status, issues, progress and concerns.
• Ensures adherence to prescribed change management and update procedures for any alterations to the production.

• Acts as the liaison between clients, vendors and other IS Teams
• Provides accurate and well-organized verbal and written instructions
• Communicates with users (or other managers/PMs if project is part of larger project) including the coordination of key milestones.
• Assumes responsibility for all of team's documentation managing the accuracy & consistency of content.
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes and develops internal action items as needed.
• Ensures that all managed environments maintain Rush's data in secure methods following best practices; allowing only authorized access to information while providing abilities to support backup, recovery and proper levels of business resumption planning with quarterly reviews of identified gaps and execution of remediation plans.

• Evaluate existing and upcoming technology and be able to effectively incorporate them into Rush’s technical environment.
• Ensures that goal achievement does not come at the cost of the ICARE values.
• Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
