Job Title: 1st Shift Shipping Clerk/Warehouse Worker

Job Description

A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a dedicated shipping clerk/warehouse worker for a long-term position. The role requires flexibility with start times ranging from 6:30 AM to 2 PM or 3 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory management, shipping, and order picking.

Responsibilities

+ Receive and restock inventory, handle dispatch, and manage overstock.

+ Load and unload materials from trucks efficiently.

+ Break down boxes and package items for shipment.

+ Utilize order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders.

+ Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed.

+ Pick orders using stairs to reach materials for the automotive industry, with rolling stairs ranging from 7 to 15 steps.

+ Package items meticulously for shipment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using RF scanners and pickers.

+ Experience in inventory management and order picking.

+ Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally.

+ Comfortable using rolling safety ladders of 5-7 steps and occasionally a 15 ft stair ladder.

+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

+ Capability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms.

+ Occasional requirement to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment individually.

+ Experience with pallet jacks, loading, unloading, and shipping & receiving.

Work Environment

The work environment can be loud due to forklifts and machinery. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Start times are 5:30 AM or 6:30 AM until 2 PM or 3 PM, requiring flexibility. The dress code includes plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes. No logos for beer or alcohol are allowed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
