    Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking dedicated and skilled machine operators to join our team. With four openings available, this role is part of the B/D team, working from 5 PM to 5 AM on a 2/2/3 schedule. This position involves operating filling and packaging equipment and ensures the smooth running of production lines in a food manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate filling and packaging equipment, including performing daily and weekly preventative maintenance.

    + Make minor mechanical repairs and replace defective parts as needed.

    + Set up jobs on machines by feeding containers onto conveyor lines and inputting product data into computer systems.

    + Conduct quality audits of filled products to ensure compliance with maximum/minimum fill lines.

    + Assist in packing and production at the end of each line as required.

    + Stop machines for cleaning in place (CIP) procedures and perform mechanical disassembly as needed.

    + Maintain compliance with all GMP and HACCP/FDA regulations and document daily production records and quality reports.

    + Assist in training production assistants on GMP and safety rules.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a Machine Operator, Packaging Operator, or Filler Operator.

    + Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and GMP, HACCP regulations.

    + Ability to work with processing machines and on production lines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 3 years of recent experience in a mechanical role such as diesel mechanic, automotive mechanic, or mechanical assembler.

    + Experience in food manufacturing or machine operating is preferred.

    + Hand tool experience, good work history, and attention to detail are beneficial.

    Work Environment

    This role is located in the loudest part of the facility, with food processing platforms in close proximity creating constant noise. Hearing protection is required. The area can become warm during the summer due to machinery and minimal climate control. The environment also has a strong aroma of sauce-based food products. Training is flexible to accommodate personal schedules, with sessions available during various shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.48 - $22.48/hr.
