    Job Title: Bagging Operator

    Job Description

    This role involves overseeing the safe and efficient operation of process and packaging equipment from start-up to shut-down, ensuring the production of safe, quality food for human consumption. The position may also include the mixing and cooking of candy recipes.

    Responsibilities

    + Change programs and parameters in chocolate tempering machines, depositors, enrobers, and other related machinery.

    + Assemble pipes, pumps, and kettle parts for cooking and mixing candy recipes, using common hand tools.

    + Follow recipes to weigh ingredients, mix and cook using equipment, and measure temperature, viscosity, and brix.

    + Operate both old manual machines and newer computer-controlled machines, performing setups and changeovers as needed.

    + Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks related to cooking and operating equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

    + Proficiency in food production and machine operation.

    + Ability to lift over 50 pounds.

    + Experience with batching, mixing, and blending.

    + 2+ years of machine operating skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong understanding of fractions and ingredient lists.

The environment is climate-controlled year-round at 69-70 degrees, making it comfortable for work. Second shift offers a premium pay as well.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The facility operates under GMP regulations and maintains a temperature that varies from 67 to 85 degrees. The first shift hours are from 6 am to 4:30 pm. The factory produces chocolate-covered nuts and candies for major retailers.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Sun Prairie, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $50000.00/yr.

     

    -Direct Hire

    -$22-$24 an hour

    -Full Benfits (Ask for a copy)

    -4 day work week M-Th

    -Raise after 6 months ($1.00-$2.00) dollars

    -Shift Premium: 2nd shift: $2.00 dollars/hr

    -Stability within Food Industry

    -Climate controlled at 69-70 degrees year round due to chocolate
