Position Overview

The Senior Family Office Accountant oversees accounting and reporting for high-net-worth families, trusts, and investment entities. This role is ideal for candidates from small public accounting firms, family offices, boutique HNW practices, or wealth management firms seeking deeper client involvement and leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage accounting for multiple HNW families and related entities

+ Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements

+ Oversee cash flow, bill pay, and entity-level reporting

+ Coordinate with tax, legal, and investment advisors

+ Review junior staff work and provide mentorship

+ Support estate, trust, and partnership structures

+ Improve reporting processes and internal controls

+ Serve as a key client-facing accounting resource

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

+ 4–7 years of experience in family office, wealth management, or public accounting

+ CPA or active CPA candidate strongly preferred

+ Strong understanding of partnerships, trusts, and multi-entity structures

+ Advanced Excel skills

+ Professional discretion and client-service mindset
