    Patient Services Representative / Front Desk Administrator (Non-Clinical)

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly organized, friendly, and professional Patient Services Representative to support a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting. This role is non-clinical and focuses on front-desk operations, patient assistance, and administrative support. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service, and works well as part of a collaborative care team.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Greet and assist patients and visitors in a high foot-traffic setting with professionalism and empathy

    + Manage patient check-in and check-out processes using Epic

    + Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment details

    + Answer and route incoming phone calls; respond to patient inquiries promptly and courteously

    + Schedule, confirm, and update appointments as needed

    + Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards

    + Serve as a key communication link between patients, providers, and internal departments

    + Support general administrative duties including scanning, filing, and data entry

    + Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and positive patient experiences

    Required Qualifications

    + Experience working in a front desk or patient-facing healthcare environment

    + Epic front desk/registration experience required

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    + Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Team-oriented, dependable, and professional

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Prior experience in ambulatory care, hospital, or outpatient settings

    + Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification processes

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or scheduling role using EPIC.

    • Proficiency in managing patient appointments and triaging processes.

    • Familiarity with physician scheduling and coordination.

    • Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.

    • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare-related communication.

    • Reliable transportation to commute between clinic locations.

    • Ability to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various administrative tasks.
