Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Test Engineer to execute pre-defined and documented test cases efficiently and with high quality. The role involves working with a team to ensure hardware devices such as laptops and tablets are thoroughly tested and validated.
Responsibilities
+ Execute manual scenarios with devices following detailed instructions.
+ Mount devices on various robot fixtures and execute tests using a provided GUI.
+ Perform functional, stress, system, and other types of testing.
+ Identify, report, and provide necessary debug logs during testing.
+ Collaborate with developers, test engineers, and product owners to resolve issues.
+ Provide regular updates on testing progress and issues encountered through ADO work items.
+ Execute maintenance tasks for robot fixtures and other hardware test stations.
+ Keep assigned ADO work items updated daily with testing progress.
+ Complete work defined in ADO work items.
+ Deliver detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce and relevant logs for each issue found.
Essential Skills
+ Experience testing on Windows environments.
+ Experience using applications with GUI and command line interfaces.
+ Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
+ Ability to execute tests with little to no supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with robot fixtures.
+ Experience programming in C# or Python.
+ Proficiency with oscilloscopes.
+ Background in robotics.
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
+ Experience in hardware testing.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
