Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician (GNS) to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring quality control and assurance within our plant environment. You will be responsible for obtaining liquid samples, performing various tests, and maintaining lab standards.

Responsibilities

+ Navigate the plant environment to properly obtain liquid samples from silos following FDA and plant standards.

+ Test samples using lab equipment and instruments for parameters such as pH, acidity, freezing point, viscosity, and solid/fat percentages, ensuring samples remain within specification ranges.

+ Carefully document all processes with dates and signatures while maintaining a clean lab to prevent contamination and ensure supplies are replenished.

+ Follow FDA and plant standards at all times, calibrate equipment daily, handle phone calls from the dairy and various plant sections, and multitask to ensure products and samples meet specifications.

Work Environment

The position is located onsite at the Elma facility. The role primarily operates during the 1st Shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. However, flexibility is required due to production and staffing needs, which may lead to potential six-day work weeks and occasional 12-hour shifts. Shifts may vary between 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM based on operational demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elma, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
