Job Title: Electronics Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving electronic failures in precision test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics theory and practical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work down to the component level.
Responsibilities
+ Perform root-cause analysis of electronic failures on complex products.
+ Interpret and analyze schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams to isolate faults.
+ Troubleshoot down to component level using structured logic and systematic approaches.
+ Utilize historical failure data, internal diagnostic tools, and test results to guide repair decisions.
+ Apply electrical engineering principles to identify likely failure points.
+ Operate electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs, power supplies) to validate repairs.
+ Execute functional and performance tests post-troubleshooting to confirm compliance with specifications.
+ Support production floor and engineering teams with technical evaluations and failure analysis.
Essential Skills
+ Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, including passive and active components.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and understand circuit functionality.
+ Familiarity with common failure modes in electronic assemblies.
+ Proficiency in using diagnostic instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
+ Bachelor's degree in Electronics or equivalent experience such as an Associate's degree or Military Electronics background.
+ Success with entry-level bachelor backgrounds, open to field service techs with strong electronics troubleshooting skills.

+ Electronics fundamentals: ability to understand circuits and read schematics.
+ Troubleshooting down to component level: finding solutions and fixing problems.
+ Logical fault isolation and pattern recognition: ability to explain why something failed.
+ Component-level knowledge: identify components in schematics and understand their role in a circuit.
+ Technical communication: explain findings clearly and relate symptoms to cause and resolution.
Work Environment
The position is set in a manufacturing and clean environment. The role starts as a 7-month contract with the potential to convert at 12 months due to new work and projects. Candidates will undergo an electronics test to evaluate their component identification, schematic understanding, and basic circuit troubleshooting skills.

This is a Contract position based out of Beaverton, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
