Job Title: Site Civil Engineer IIJob Description
As a Site Civil Engineer II, you will collaborate with project managers and lead other engineers to design and produce civil engineering projects. Your role will involve preparing design documents and permits for site plans, utility plans, road design, and more using AutoCAD Civil 3D software. You will set technical design standards, coordinate with various disciplines including consultants, and ensure quality assurance through quality control measures. Additionally, you will provide leadership to grow our business and mentor other civil engineers, all with a strong customer focus.
Responsibilities
+ Manage multiple projects from start to completion within scope, schedule, and budget, including leading project teams and assigning duties.
+ Develop reports, preliminary concepts, and full design phase deliverables including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
+ Assist in calculations and analyses for stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer, and traffic signal design.
+ Participate in field investigations and perform field inspection services for conformance to plans and specifications.
+ Attend public meetings and consult with regulatory agencies as necessary.
+ Use design software such as AutoCAD 3D, EPANET, and MicroStation for presentation and production purposes.
+ Prepare engineering proposals and provide input on project complexity, budget, and hours needed.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program.
+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with current license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
+ Minimum of 8 years of professional civil engineering experience.
+ Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 3D.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Valid driver’s license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Multiple state licensures.
+ NCEES registration and NSPE membership.
+ CSI-CDT certification.
+ LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP certification.
+ Experience in HEC RAS, EPANET, MicroStation, or SYNCRO.
+ Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
Work Environment
The work environment offers a hybrid schedule with the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The office is located in a trendy uptown area, with 60 employees in Charlotte and 150 at the headquarters, totaling 200 employees. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Progressive Companies offers medical insurance through Priority Health. Out of state coverage is provided through the Cigna network. There is a choice of a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan with a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) or High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA).
