Description

This client is seeking a skilled Audio/Visual Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain professional A/V systems for commercial and residential environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technology, problem‑solving, and hands‑on field work. Install and configure A/V systems, including displays, projectors, sound systems, conferencing equipment, and control systems. Run and terminate low‑voltage cabling (Cat6, speaker wire, HDMI, fiber, etc.). Troubleshoot system issues and perform maintenance or repairs. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and contractors to ensure system quality and project timelines. Conduct system testing, calibration, and verification to ensure high‑quality performance. Document installations, configurations, and service activities. Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and equipment. Provide exceptional customer service during on‑site visits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1–3 years of A/V installation or low‑voltage experience preferred. Knowledge of A/V signal types, wiring standards, and basic networking. Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction plans. Familiarity with control systems (Crestron, Extron, Control4) is a plus. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
