Key Responsibilities

+ Secure cloud infrastructure supporting GenAI and AI-driven workloads

+ Define and enforce Azure security standards, policies, and guardrails

+ Configure and manage:

+ Azure AD (Entra ID)

+ Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

+ Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

+ Integrate security controls into Terraform and CI/CD pipelines

+ Leverage Defender for Cloud to identify risks and improve posture

+ Partner with architecture and infrastructure teams on:

+ Secure landing zone implementation

+ Network segmentation and access models

+ Cost-aware security design

+ Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents

+ Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (one week every seven weeks)

Ideal Candidate Profile

+ Senior -level Azure Security Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer

+ Strong hands-on Azure experience in enterprise environments

+ Comfortable operating in regulated healthcare ecosystems

+ Experience securing early-stage or scaling Azure environments

+ Confident advisor who can guide non-security teams on best practices

+ Able to work independently in a highly autonomous, remote model

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
