Quality Inspector
Compensation and Shift
Starting pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Second and third shifts are available. General Purpose
Assist manufacturing in maintaining required quality standards by performing in-process and final inspections throughout production runs. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, company policies, and safety requirements while verifying product quality and accuracy.
Essential Job Functions
\u2022 Support manufacturing quality standards through ongoing inspections during production
\u2022 Audit operator processes against Standard Operating Procedures
\u2022 Verify product integrity to job specifications, including structure, color, size, and layout, using appropriate tools and measurement methods
\u2022 Identify suspect product and apply hold tags as required
\u2022 Read and interpret job tickets and combo tickets for quantities, selection numbers, size specifications, and other requirements prior to production
\u2022 Report quality questions or concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager
\u2022 Collect and visually inspect customer samples for color variance, size, and cosmetic defects before forwarding to the sample area
\u2022 Release completed jobs to the shipping department as needed
\u2022 Complete required daily job reports and weight count documentation
\u2022 Perform final inspections for specified customers
\u2022 Weigh jobs to verify counts
\u2022 Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
\u2022 Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day
\u2022 Ability to read and write instructions and correspondence
\u2022 Ability to use hands for grasping, pushing, and pulling
\u2022 Ability to operate a hand-operated pallet jack
\u2022 Strong attention to detail, including identifying printing, cutting, and gluer defects
\u2022 Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
\u2022 Ability to pass a color vision test
\u2022 Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
