    Role Overview

     

    We are seeking an experienced **AutoCAD Engineer** to perform on-site field verification, update existing as-built drawings, and develop high-quality drawings from scratch. The role also includes managing project documentation through SharePoint and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and collaboration across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with Facilities, Business, IT, and Cognizant teams to successfully deliver project outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Conduct detailed **field verification** to validate existing site conditions.

    + Update and maintain **as-built drawings** based on on-site assessments.

    + Create **new detailed AutoCAD drawings** for projects, upgrades, and modifications.

    + Manage, organize, and maintain project documentation using **SharePoint** , ensuring version control and accessibility.

    + Collaborate with **Facilities, Business, and IT teams** to gather requirements and align design outputs with project goals.

    + Coordinate with **Cognizant teams and external stakeholders** to ensure timely and high‑quality deliverables.

    + Provide technical expertise, support, and guidance throughout project execution.

    Qualifications

    + Minimum **6+ years** of experience as an AutoCAD Engineer or in a similar role.

    + Strong proficiency in **AutoCAD** and related design software.

    + Demonstrated experience in **field verification** and updating **as-built documentation** .

    + Working knowledge of **SharePoint** for file and document management.

    + High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality drawings.

    + Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.

    + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet set deadlines.

    Preferred Skills

    + Knowledge of **building systems** such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).

    + Experience with **construction documentation** , standards, and facility layouts.

    + Understanding of **project coordination** , cross-team communication, and stakeholder management.
