You will bring significant experience representing high-net-worth clients in divorce, custody disputes, and marital property division matters. This role involves managing sophisticated cases, providing exceptional client service, and delivering measured results in emotionally charged situations. You'll play a critical role in helping clients protect their financial, professional, and personal interests during litigation or alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
+ Represent high-net-worth clients in complex divorce litigation, including matters involving business valuations, real estate holdings, trust interests, and investment portfolios.
+ Develop customized strategies for marital property division, spousal support agreements, and custodial arrangements.
+ Negotiate settlements while ensuring optimal outcomes for your clients in high-stakes situations.
+ Counsel clients on pre- and postnuptial agreements, trust considerations, and family wealth preservation strategies.
+ Advocate effectively in court proceedings, mediation, or arbitration sessions specific to family law disputes.
+ Collaborate with financial experts, forensic accountants, business appraisers, and psychologists as needed to support client cases.
+ Stay updated on family law regulations and evolving trends in complex asset division and child custody laws.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements
+ Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in applicable state(s).
+ 5+ years of experience specializing in family law, divorce proceedings, custody disputes, and marital property division for high-net-worth clientele.
+ Exceptional knowledge of applicable state and federal laws surrounding family law and asset division.
+ Strong ability to navigate complex cases involving business valuations, trust or estate planning elements, and substantial wealth management issues.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust in high-stakes, emotionally charged settings.
+ Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.
