Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Director of Clinical Operations. You will actively coordinate the operational components with the objective of increasing consistency across the continuum of care resulting in improvements in patient outcomes, patient and physician satisfaction and a reduction in cost variability. In this role you will oversee Rapid Response, Float Pool, Virtual Sitter, Patient Equipment, and Telemetry. Some of your responsibilities will include:

+ You will establish an operational structure that brings together functional elements of house wide clinical and nursing and support services.

+ You will assist in the development of clinical protocols that use evidence based best practices to provide consistency and drive performance outcomes.

+ You will produce and present reports on key performance indicators and other significant benchmarking metrics, implement plans to address variability and poor performance.

+ You will measure clinical and operational outcomes, facilitate the comparative measurement of these outcomes across facility.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred

+ Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations

+ Minimum of 5 years progressive management experience. Clinical experience preferred

+ Organizational, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Project planning and management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
