    Job Title: Applications EngineerJob Description

     

    Join a dynamic team specializing in the manufacture of surface heaters, temperature controllers, and insulators used across various industries. As an Applications Engineer, you will manage sales projects to develop custom heating solutions, coordinating technical specifications and dimensions among customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve as a technical or sales contact during product development phases for new and ongoing projects for major customers.

    + Oversee documentation and secure approval of customer specifications for projects, assisting in quote and proposal preparation.

    + Engage in sales and technical presentations to prospective or existing customers.

    + Coordinate quotes, technical information, dimensions, and other parameters with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and sales team members.

    + Manage coordination and transfer of new orders between sales, engineering, customers, and manufacturing to ensure accurate design and compliance with customer specifications, including temperature parameters, dimensional fit, shipping, labeling, and quality assurances.

    + Coordinate engineering changes with customers and various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to procedural guidelines.

    + Oversee pricing, pricing revisions, shipping schedules, and other parameters based on customer requests.

    + Review approval drawings from engineering, ensure prompt delivery to customers, and facilitate timely return via requested shipment expectations.

    + Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and testing labs to ensure development, design, testing requirements, on-time delivery, and fulfillment of customer expectations for first article products, prototypes, and related project shipments.

    + Work with contracted sales partners, distribution partners, and sales personnel to meet customer needs, forecast future requirements, and grow the business.

    + Act as a key contact to determine new products, materials, and items of interest to customers, communicating these interests across departments.

    + Travel to customers for sales and technical presentations, measurements, technical discussions, and other customer needs.

    + Conduct pricing reviews of major accounts and recommend guidelines based on profit and marketing pricing to retain existing customers and pursue new opportunities.

    + Assist inside sales by providing quotes, customer contact, and addressing technical issues.

    + Associates degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with one co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Good written and oral communication skills.

    + 1-3 years of technical support or sales experience.

    + Experience with low and medium voltage.

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.

    Pay and Benefits
